★ Admission Guidance

 

 

Osaka Taiyo Language Academy offers two types of courses: 1.5 Year and 2 Year College Prep. Course; Study Abroad Experience Course. Depending on the needs and abilities of each student, the school teachers will introduce a suitable course.

★ Admission Requirement 

To apply to our school, students must meet all of the following conditions. 

① Willingness and ability to study
         1) Applicant must have a clear purpose for studying Japanese and willingly continue to learn.
         2) Applicant must at least pass an examination equivalent to JLPT N5 for the 2-year course and JLPT N4 for the 1-year and 6-month course. 
 For the 2-year course, applicants must have Japanese language proficiency equivalent to the first half of Minna no Nihongo Beginner I at the time of application. In addition, the applicant must have passed a test equivalent to JLPT N5 by the time of applying for a Certificate of Eligibility for a Status of Residence (COE) in December. If the applicant has not passed the JLPT N5 by the time required, there will be a one-month grace period (at the end of January of the following year), but if the applicant fails to pass the test within the grace period, the entrance period will be postponed.

 ●For the 1-year 6-month course, applicants must have Japanese language proficiency equivalent to Minna no Nihongo Beginner I at the time of application. In addition, the applicant must have passed a test equivalent to JLPT N4 at the time of applying for a Certificate of Eligibility for a Status of Residence (COE) in June. If the applicant has not passed the JLPT N4 by the time required, there will be a one-month grace period (at the end of August of the following year), but if the applicant fails to pass the test within the grace period, the entrance period will be postponed.

  3) Applicants must pass the school’s selection and interview.

  4) Applicants must obey the law of Japan and Osaka Taiyo Language Academy’s school rules. 

 


②  Student’s Academic Background
Students who have completed or are expected to graduate from high school. 


③ Financial Capability of the Sponsor

Applicant must have a sponsor who has a stable annual income and can pay all the expenses.

※Income from extracurricular activities after coming to Japan is not included in financial capability.

Review of documents, study status and grades in the home country, verification of willingness and ability to pay expenses, interview, and written test.
