★ Enrollment Guide
Osaka Taiyo Language Academy offers a 1.5-year preparatory course and a 2-year preparatory course.

Admission to our school requires meeting all of the following conditions.
① Student’s Motivation and Ability for Study
① Students’ study intentions and abilities
1)Possess a clear purpose for studying Japanese and the will to continue learning.
2)Meet the following conditions for Japanese and English.
【2-year course】
- Possess Japanese language ability equivalent to the first half of A1 level at the time of recruitment (July–September)
- Pass a Japanese language test equivalent to A1 level by the time of residence status application (November)
※ If the test is not passed, the residence status application will not be submitted
- Possess English proficiency at least at the everyday conversation level (CEFR A2 equivalent).
(To be assessed through a written test and oral interview)
【1.5-year course】
- Must have passed an A1-level Japanese proficiency test during the recruitment period (January–March)
- Must have passed an A2-level Japanese proficiency test at the time of residence status application (May)
※ If the applicant fails this test, the residence status application will not be submitted.
- Must possess English proficiency at the everyday conversation level (CEFR A2 equivalent) or higher. (Determined by written examination and oral interview).
3) Applicants who pass the university’s admission screening.
4) Applicants who can comply with Japanese laws and regulations, as well as the university’s academic and school rules.
② Student Background
1) Applicants who have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years of school education or an equivalent program.
Regarding academic ability, a graduation grade of 70% or higher at the final educational level is a guideline.
2) Applicants who have been granted permission to enter Japan through proper procedures, or who are likely to be granted such permission.
③ Financial Support Capacity
Applicants must have a reliable financial sponsor with sufficient financial support capacity.
※Financial support capacity does not include income from activities outside the scope of the visa status after the applicant’s arrival in Japan.
★ Admissions Selection
Review of academic background and grades in home country, document screening, verification of financial support capability and intent, interview, written examination.
